How do I tell whether I have Discover Pro?
Discover Pro is the larger 8" version with navigation and an SD card slot. Discover Media is the 6.5" version with navigation. Composition Media has no navigation. All three are MIB2 and the decoder works with all three. Send your VIN for a free check.
Why would I need a decoder when MIB2 already has App-Connect?
App-Connect supports CarPlay/Android Auto over a USB cable only. The decoder makes both fully wireless.
Does it work with Active Info Display (the digital cockpit)?
Yes. CarPlay navigation (Google Maps, Waze) mirrors onto the Active Info Display exactly as factory App-Connect does.
