How do I tell whether I have MIB2 High or MIB3?

MIB2 High and MIB3 are Audi's newest systems, with two touchscreens and no physical controller. They appear in the A6 C8 and above from 2018 onwards. Send your VIN and we identify the exact version free of charge.

Why would I need a decoder when MIB3 already has CarPlay?

Factory MIB2/MIB3 supports CarPlay over a USB cable only, and in most markets has no Android Auto at all. The decoder adds wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto while keeping the original UI.

Does it work with Virtual Cockpit?

Yes. CarPlay navigation (Google Maps, Waze) mirrors onto Virtual Cockpit exactly as factory CarPlay does.
