❓ Frequently asked questions
How do I tell whether my NBT is 4-pin or 6-pin?
NBT 4-pin is more common on BMWs from 2012-2016; NBT 6-pin appears on newer cars from 2016 onwards. Check the connector type behind the display, or send us your VIN for a free check.
Are the factory iDrive functions retained?
Yes, entirely. The decoder is added alongside the existing system and removes nothing. Every factory function - navigation, radio, settings - is untouched.
Does it work with an iPhone and an Android at the same time?
The decoder supports both CarPlay and Android Auto. You can pair an iPhone and an Android device, but only one can be active at a time.
